FAILURE TO OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES
AND GUIDELINES MAY DAMAGE THE COOLER, CAUSE IT TO FAIL, AND/OR
VOID THE COOLER WARRANTY.
Installation and Maintenance Instructions.
VERY IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ BEFORE USE.
If the cooler was placed on its side to transport, be sure to allow
the unit to stand upright for at least four (4) hours before plugging
in cooler. Failure to observe this procedure could cause the unit
to fail or produce excessive noise and may void your warranty.
MANUFACTURER'S
BASIC OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES
(Glacier Mountain is not the cooler manufacturer)
- Always unplug the cooler from the wall outlet when out of water.
Note:
Always make sure there is water in the cooler and hot tank before
plugging unit into an electrical outlet. Air must be bled
out of the hot tank by depressing the hot side (red) faucet to
fill the hot tank with water before energizing the unit.
(See "Recommended
Steps to Replace Bottle").
- Locate cooler in a well ventilated area making sure there is
at least 2" of clearance around the back of the cooler for
proper air flow.
- Locate the cooler within reach of a suitable grounded
electrical outlet.
- To help prevent algae growth do not place cooler
in direct sunlight or in front of heating vents.
- Choose a location
where the floor is level. If cooler does not set level on the
floor, use a shim under one of the feet on the base
of the coolers.
- Do not locate cooler in area where the temperature
may fall below freezing.
- Cooler is pre-cleaned at the factory; however
the reservoir & water
lines must be sanitized and flushed with fresh water before
use. Glacier Mountain performs this service at no cost as part
of standard
installation procedure. (See Maintenance section.) Regular
cleaning and sanitizing is advised to ensure satisfactory water
quality.
Glacier Mountain offers this service semi-annually at a cost
of $49 per sanitizing.
- Do not use the cooler or bottle as a shelf
for plants or storage of other objects. Keep area around cooler
free of dust and dirt.
(Never place objects on top of the cooler, especially, but not
limited to hot or flammable items)

PLACING COOLER INTO SERVICE
(Glacier Mountain performs all the
steps in this section at no cost to all customers with Service
Agreement)
- Do not remove foam insulation from outside of reservoir.
Unit will not operate properly with foam removed and the warranty
will be
voided.
- Remove Water Safe Assembly by placing fingers into opening
on the outside perimeter of the Water Safe Assembly and applying
upward
pressure until the assembly is freed from the reservoir.
- Thoroughly
clean and flush reservoir and hot tank if so equipped. (See
Maintenance section for guidance.)
- Make sure baffle is correctly installed.
The tube of the baffle should be pressed firmly into the corresponding
reservoir outlet.
- Reinstall the Water Safe Assembly by placing it
into the opening of the reservoir and pressing downward until
the unit is flush
with the top of the cooler.
- Remove the hygienic seal on the bottle cap, and place
the bottle on the cooler.
- Open faucets to draw water until streams
are free of air bubbles. On hot & cold coolers, make sure
water flows out of hot faucet before plugging cooler into outlet.
Failure
to do so could damage
unit and void the warranty.
- On units with detachable power supply
cord, ensure that power supply cord is firmly seated in the
mating receptacle located in the rear
of cooler.
- Plug in the unit.

TAKING COOLER OUT OF SERVICE
- Unplug the cooler.
- Remove the bottle from the cooler.
- Drain the water from the cooler
through the faucets.
- Drain the water from the hot tank by removing

ACTIVITY WITH COOLER!

back
of
the cooler
for lint and dust build up. Vacuum or clean with a brush. Regular cleaning
will help to keep the cooler running efficiently and economically.

CLEANING AND SANITIZING
YOUR WATERSAFE™ COOLER
Note: Cooler
Manufactures recommend cooler sanitizing at least every 6 months.
- Unplug
the cooler from the electrical outlet.
- Remove the bottle.
- Drain any water left in the reservoir through
the faucets
- Remove Water Safe Assembly by placing fingers into opening
on the outside perimeter of the Water Safe Assembly and applying
upward pressure until the assembly is freed from the reservoir.
- Remove air
filter from Water Safe Assembly. If there is noticeable dust
build-up on filter it should be cleaned by using
a soft dry cloth and lightly dusting off the top of the filter. Place cleaned
filter aside.
- Water Safe Assembly may be cleaned in a
dishwasher or manually. If washing manually only use a mild
detergent such as Joy
and do not use any abrasive material to wash unit.
- Thoroughly rinse and dry
unit and re-install air filter. You may order replacement filters
by calling Glacier Mountain
Spring Water.
- Let cooler stand for a few minutes to allow ice in the reservoir
to melt. Add warm water to speed up this process.
- Drain
water again. Take a clean non-abrasive sponge and wipe out
reservoir. Do not use soaps or detergents. Pour additional
water into reservoir to rinse and drain again through cold spigot only.
- Boil
water and pour slowly into reservoir until it is full.
- Allow water
to stand for 1 minute. Drain water out of both faucets. This
procedure sanitizes the water lines and the faucets.
- Replace Water Safe Assembly
by pressing unit firmly into the reservoir opening until the
unit is flush with the top of the cooler.
- Place bottle on top of cooler.
See Recommended Steps To Replace Bottle.
- Depress faucets until water
flows freely from both faucets.
- Plug in unit. (It takes a few minutes
for water to reach the desired hot and cold temperatures.
Cleaning
Plastic Parts – Periodic cleaning of drip
trap, faucet paddles and top of cooler are recommended.
To clean plastic
parts,
use liquid soap and warm water. Avoid using abrasive
cleaners. Drip tray should not be used for disposing unwanted beverages.
Note:
Do not use "Fantastic" cleaner or similar
products on plastic parts. These products contain chemicals
that can cause
the plastics to become brittle and discolored.
Cleaning
Cabinet Exterior – The cooler exterior can
be cleaned with liquid soap and warm water. Make sure
the washed parts are
rinsed thoroughly and all soap residues are removed.
(Do not use abrasive
cleaners which can scratch surfaces)
